Chalking
The dust formed on the paint layer by weather conditions causes color fade.
Even though this is normal, over erosion of the layer may result with excess
chalking.
Reasons:
-Using paint with excess filler.
-Using low quality paints.
Solutions:
First of all as much chalk as possible should be removed from the surface
using hard bristle brush (or string bristle brush for stone walls).
After a well drying, to detect the chalk residue, move your hand on the
surface.
If a remarkable chalk residue is not present, apply high quality primer
layer followed by last layer paint. |
