Spangling
and peeling
Reasons:
-The paint was applied on damp, rusty, dirty or greasy surface.
-The application is performed on the former painted brittle, dusty surface.
-Choosing the wrong kind of primer or not using it where it should be applied.
-Before cleaning the former paint, on hard and bright paint layer, a new
application was performed.
-Applying the new layer without waiting to dry the former layer.
Solution:
-If the spangling and peeling is extreme, the best way is to remove the
painting from the total surface and repeat the painting.
-If the spangling is in several regions, these areas should be cleaned.
Following this the application of a thin layer of surface putty and polishing
the painting should be performed.
